Kieren Kearney

Kieren has worked in senior leadership roles across both private and not-for-profit sectors, and has over 16 years’ experience in the Employment Services industry. Commencing in the CEO role at Workways in 2019, Kieren brings extensive experience and qualifications in project and change management, and is focussed on developing high functioning teams through mentoring and development.

Kieren understands the importance of customer facing enterprises engaging effectively with communities to deliver meaningful employment opportunities. Having spent his youth in far north QLD and East Gippsland, Kieren developed a strong understanding of the need for services to be community led, and the positive difference that employment can make to an individual.

With a focus on community services, Kieren has proven experience in financial management, and believes strongly in values based leadership.

Kieren has a Bachelor of Applied Science and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Abigail Wills

Abigail has over 10 years of experience in environmental protection, restoration, community development and capacity building. She has a background in local protected area establishment, development of methods for monitoring ecosystem health, trialling novel approaches for ecological restoration and landscape-scale restoration planning.

Abi is passionate about cross-sector collaboration and combining robust scientific research with practical on-ground interventions to maximise conservation outcomes and cost- effectiveness. Her specialties include development of simple-to-implement monitoring programs for flora and fauna, remote sensing using GIS, partnerships development, identification of novel financing mechanisms for conservation, and engaging communities in conservation through capacity building and sustainable use.

As State Manager for Victoria, Abi oversees the development and delivery of Envite Environment’s programs in the region. She has been instrumental in forging new partnerships and in working to support local people in East Gippsland to gain meaningful employment while restoring the natural environment.

Abi has a Master of Science Degree by Research in Biodiversity Management.

Dan Cox

Dan has over 18 years experience in environmental management and restoration. His role includes project coordination, team management, flora survey, site assessment and planning, use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to monitor and evaluate environmental outcomes, production of ecological restoration plans, delivery of best practice bush regeneration, revegetation and propagation.

Mick Webb

Regional Manager, Coffs Harbour & Clarence NSW

Mick has over 16 years experience in ecological restoration. He has proven experience in the field working with multiple stakeholders including local community, private land owners and managers, government and local Traditional Owner groups to effectively protect and restore natural areas. He has a passion for the environment and has worked across a variety of ecosystems, including EEC’s and threatened species habitat.

He is responsible for development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Envite NRM projects. Mick has extensive skills and experience in site assessment and environmental restoration planning, GIS mapping and project management. Mick is enthusiastic to transfer knowledge and assist local community in taking steps to improve the environment and implement NRM projects. He is able to guide and prepare funding submissions, report writing, record keeping and project administration.

Natasha Rodwell

Regional Manager, North Queensland

Tasha has 19 years’ experience in the environment industry spanning across the mining, construction, utilities and natural resource management sectors. Having worked in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland, Tasha has experience working across a broad range of ecosystems, with a particular focus on the tropics. Tasha brings with her a diverse skillset including; large scale rehabilitation of biodiverse and culturally sensitive areas, GIS mapping, project management, preparation and delivery of environmental monitoring and management plans, ecological restoration, nursery operations, volunteer management, capacity building and  stakeholder engagement.

 

More recently Tash has been working in the not-for-profit sector, having previously working for Landcare and is a very active volunteer with Magnetic Island Network for Turtles. Tasha lives in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and is passionate about delivering science driven conservation projects that help build the natural resilience of local ecosystems and creating strong connections and collaborations with community, first nations, government and industry partners.

Paul Harvey

Regional Manager, Victoria

Paul has been working in environmental restoration for 14 years. He has a wealth of experience in delivering large-scale indigenous vegetation management and conservation projects, including site preparation and maintenance, revegetation, weed and pest control, waterway stabilisation, and erosion control. With a background in facilitating community-driven revegetation programs, Paul also specialises in ecological surveys, species monitoring, and undertaking fauna and flora assessments, often in remote areas.

Passionate about partnership-building across all land tenures, Paul has a track record of successful engagement with diverse groups such as private landholders, community groups and stakeholders, funding bodies, local government, environment industry professionals, volunteers and contractors. 

As Regional Manager for Gippsland, Paul manages the local Envite team and oversees the development, coordination and delivery of Envite’s programs in the area. Paul has a Diploma in Conservation and Land Management, and is a keen citizen scientist, frequently contributing rainforest flora surveys to the Victorian Biodiversity Atlas.
