EnviTE DVD

EnviTE received funding from NSW Environmental Trust, Environmental Education Program, to produce the DVD, Getting Started in Bush Regeneration. EnviTE NSW has distributed complimentary copies of the DVD to community groups and relevant organisations who may find it a useful training resource.

This environment education project resulted in the professional production three short DVDs to demonstrate best practice methodology for successful bush regeneration projects. The DVD provides information on the principles, planning and techniques of bush regeneration. The components of the DVD include:

1. Site assessment and goal setting,

2. Weed control techniques, and

3. Natural regeneration and planting

The DVDs are a valuable resource for all groups carrying out vegetation restoration projects. They will assist in increasing the capacity of volunteers and others to effectively implement bush regeneration projects. No other resource of this type is currently available.

The DVDs have been distributed to Landcare and Coastcare groups and facilitators in the region and schools and TAFE and will be used by Work for the Dole and Green Corps teams as part of their training.

The predication of the DVDs is an effective way of spreading a better understanding of bush regeneration techniques in the community and will lead to a more effective approach to the conservation of biodiversity in the region.
