What Can Participants Gain From Green Corps? 
Green Corps participants gain improved career and employment prospects through accredited-on-the-job training and personal development opportunities. They also learn effective teamwork and leadership skills. Green Corps also benefits the community and the environment through:
- promoting the contribution of young people
- strengthening links between young people and the community
- encouraging local Indigenous and non-Indigenous community involvement in Green Corps projects
What Sort of Training do Green Corps Participants Receive with EnviTE?
All Green Corps participants receive nationally accredited training. Participants who complete all training components are issued with Certificate I in Conservation and Land Management as well as a Statement of Attainment for some units from the Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management. All units undertaken can be used as credit towards further study with any recognised training organisation. Participants also receive non-accredited training in a variety of valuable work skills, which vary according to the projects.
Participants also gain:
- first aid training
- occupational health and safety training
- career counselling
Accredited training is provided by a training officer with qualifications recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
Green Corps participants receive a uniform and transport to and from work sites.
Green Corps Participants are paid an allowance by the Green Corps Service Provider on behalf of the Australian Government's Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
