| Official launch of $1.46 million project |
Peter Garrett, Minister for Environment Protection, Heritage and the Arts, praised EnviTE's commitment to providing training and job opportunities in the region during the launch of our $1.46 million project on 13 August. EnviTE's project, which is part of the Local Jobs Stream of the Australian Government's Job Fund initiative, has already resulted in the retention or creation of 41 jobs, as well as 40 new work experience positions and 9 new traineeships. |

Youth employment servicesWe have an Australian Government Job Services Australia (JSA) contract through Job Futures to provide specialist youth employment services in the Richmond employment services area which covers Lismore, Kyogle, Nimbin, Casino and Woodburn. EnviTE Employment offers a free professional and personalised recruitment service to ensure that employers get the right employee for the job. Our advisors work with job seekers to identify goals and work to meet them. We can help set up training, work experience and apprentice / traineeships. Jobs Fund NCEEEnviTE is running the North Coast Environmental Employment (NCEE) project under Jobs Fund, an Australian Government initiative that supports innovative projects aiming to maximise training and work opportunities in local communities. NCEE will deliver lasting environmental outcomes as well as providing work and training from the Tweed to Coffs Harbour. National Green Jobs CorpsWe run National Green Jobs Corps teams throughout the region. This Australian Government program provides 17-24 year olds with the opportunity to gain environmentally focused work experience and accredited training. Member of Job FuturesEnviTE is a member of Job Futures, Australia's only national network of community based and not-for-profit organisations which provide employment, training and related services. Job Futures is itself a not-for-profit organisation that returns any surplus or profit to provide community benefit. Job Futures aims to help members, such as EnviTE Employment, to deliver the best possible employment services by providing comprehensive training and program support, as well as performance and monitoring systems. Each member of the network operates independently but is able to draw upon the broad strategic knowledge and support of the network. |
