What is Land for Wildlife?
Land for Wildlife (LFW) is a voluntary property registration scheme for landholders who want to manage wildlife on their property and contribute to the conservation of our unique Australian native plants and animals. It’s free to join and is not legally binding. Registration in the scheme is confidential and will not change the legal status of a property.
Are you eligible?
Requirements for eligible properties include:
- A minimum of one hectare of native vegetation
- Commitment to sustainably managing all or some of your property for habitat of native flora and fauna.
Land for Wildlife can apply to any property that meets these requirements, regardless of their land use, including bush blocks, farming and grazing.
