Project Description

Completed May 2017

The Green Army team will protect and enhance listed threatened species and migratory species by undertaking restoration activities on rainforest and riparian sites. Moriarty’s Reserve (adjacent to World Heritage Rainforest at Iluka) will undergo revegetation. Bush regeneration will control weeds in Maclean Rainforest. Lower Clarence riparian sites on Everlasting Swamp, Woooloweyah Lagoon and Hickey Island support a range of migratory birds. Restoration activities will improve foraging and habitat for these species.
