Project Description

The Townsville Skilling Queenslander’s for Work – Work Skills Traineeship project has a focus on individual, environment and community benefit. Disadvantaged Queenslander’s are employed for 18 weeks while undertaking Certificate 1 in Conservation and Land Management and related work activities. Activities are located at James Cook University’s Townsville campus which has over 300 hectares of natural bushland and recreational areas for mountain biking, walking and exercise.
