This week we were involved in Yarri Barrunbatayi (Koala Dreaming) Community Planting Day at South West Rocks. It was a fantastic day at Arakoon National Park, connecting with Country, learning about koalas, and taking action for their future!
Local school kids from the Macleay region joined South West Rocks Figtree Descendants Aboriginal Corporation alongside NPWS, the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, Koala Conservation Australia, and Ngiyambandigay Wajaarr Aboriginal Corporation for a hands-on day of tree planting, cultural learning, and koala artwork.
Together, we’re restoring habitat and strengthening community connections.
